Ruger Announces Left-Handed Model of Custom Shop 10/22 Competition Rifle
Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) is proud to launch the Ruger Custom Shop® 10/22® Competition Rifle in a unique left-handed configuration. This new model features left-side ejection, a left-handed charging handle, and a push-button cross-bolt manual safety, all of which are fed by a detachable 10-round rotating magazine created specifically for this rifle. While this model provides everything a left-handed shooter needs in a.22 LR competition handgun, right-handed shooters, especially those shooting from the bench, will appreciate the left-side charging handle.
The fluted 16-1/8" bull barrel is threaded with a 1/2"-28 pattern to accommodate the supplied muzzle brake or other barrel accessories, as well as to minimise weight and dissipate heat. A patented, upgraded semi-auto chamber is also included in the barrel, which has been shown to improve accuracy and precision without compromising dependable feeding and extraction.
A hard-coat anodized, CNC-machined, heat-treated, and stress-relieved 6061-T6511 aluminium receiver with an integral, optics-ready 30 MOA Picatinny rail is featured on the 10/22 Competition Rifle. The bespoke receiver is paired with a CNC-machined match bolt that is heat-treated and nitrided for a tight-fitting, smooth action that allows for maximum performance. A second lug is included in the dual bedding system to ensure the receiver is securely attached to the stock. This rifle also has an innovative second barrel location that allows the barrel to float freely for improved accuracy. A rear cleaning port is built into the receiver, allowing easy access to the barrel from the back of the receiver.
The Ruger® BX-Trigger®, which provides a smooth take-up and crisp break; an oversized bolt handle for ease of charging; a match bolt release, which allows the bolt to be released forwards with a quick pull to the rear and release; and an extended, ambidextrous magazine release are all included in this feature-rich 10/22 rifle.
This rifle comes with a detachable 10-round left-handed rotary magazine, a Ruger Custom Shop Certificate of Authenticity, a challenge coin, a cleaning cloth, and a decal, as well as a protective case.
